SKF Goa River Marathon

Now in its 15th year, the SKF Goa River Marathon returns on 13 December 2026, drawing over 7,500 runners to the serene backwaters of Chicalim along the scenic Zuari river. Race morning begins early, with the Full Marathon (42.195km) setting off at 4:00am on a double out-and-back loop of the 21.0975km AIMS-certified half marathon course, followed by the 20-Miler (32.2km) at 4:10am running two 16.1km out-and-back loops, and the Half Marathon itself starting at 5:30am, alongside the shorter 10K and 5K Fun Walk-Run for less competitive participants. Finisher certificates and prizes require crossing the line within set cutoffs, ranging from 5 hours 30 minutes for the full marathon down to 90 minutes for the 10K, with timing mats removed at 9:10am and any lagging runners lifted off-course after 11:00am for safety. Organised with world-class GPS tracking, live analytics, and digital timing, the race has built a reputation as one of India's most technologically advanced marathons, blending fitness, nature, and coastal charm.
