**Nashik's Forts: Vigilance Points of Baglaan** Discover the forts of the Baglaan region (Nashik district)! See well-known forts: Salota, Salher, Mulher, Dermal, Pisol. Also explore the less popular four forts—Bishtha, Karha, Dundha, Ajmera—located on the Dundheshwar mountain range (Satana taluka). These were historically used as vigilance points. **Trip Tip:** Visit all four in two days with your private vehicle, including a stop at Jogeshwar temple in Devlane village\!

**Karha Fort Trek Highlights** From the Satana-Dodheshwar junction: * **Kotbel Road:** Leads to Bishtha Fort base. * **Kolipada Road:** Goes right. * **Karhe Road:** Go left. 1km down, take the unpaved road left (5 min walk).**Path & Sights:** * Reach Goddess Saptashrungi Temple (jungle cover). * Path from temple leads to a small hill (flag mounted) where Karha Fort is visible. * Ascend the fort using the pathway. * **10 min up:** See "Makad Dev" (Monkey God - red monkey picture on wooden pillars). * **20 min further:** Reach a plateau, likely the fort summit/entrance (carved stone/door arch fragments found). * **Carved Pillar:** out the eroded pillar with carvings of Lord Ganesh, 3 artistes, and a horse rider. * **10 min up:** Find rock-cut steps and a rock-cut cave (used for surveillance).**The Fort:** * **2 min walk:** Arrive at the fort. * **Bhavani Temple:** Visit the temple with two dried water tanks behind it, plus a large dried caved tank to the right. * **Fort Edge:** Opposite the tanks, there's a non-potable water tank. * **Lower Side:** Use proper gear to descend a rock patch to find three water tanks; the last one has potable water\!**Time & Views:** * Explore the entire fort in 30 minutes. * **Top Views:** Spot Bishtha Fort, Fopira Hill, and Ajmera Fort.

Getting to Kodbel Village: Daily 5 ST buses from Satana. Bus Timings: 7:00 AM: Sakri – Satana (Arrives Satana) 7:30 AM: Satana – Bhilpuri 11:30 AM: Satana – Chinchwa 5:00 PM: Satana – Chinchwa Bonus: Six-seater autos are also available to reach Namapur!
