Mahadevgad Fort: Just 3 km from Amboli hill station (Sindhudurg district). Its main purpose was protecting the Paarpoli ghat trade route, vital for transporting goods from Malvan, Vengurla, and Redi ports in ancient times.

Built by Anasaheb Fond Sawant of Sawantwadi, this fort once boasted a strong fortified wall, bastions, and a surrounding trench. Sadly, no remnants of these structures remain today.
