Barvai Fort: Located on a mountain near Chiplun, separate from the Sahyadri ranges. Historically used as a watch tower. Referenced in the book "Daspaticha Itihaas," found in Pedhambe village.

No fort remnants remain. See Goddess Bhairi's idol at the mountain top. Find a Veergal (warrior sculpture) on a western hillock, which locals call "Vetal." Note the closed small cave nearby. On the north, look for 3 square ditches and plinths of old houses. The path narrows further ahead.

How to Reach
Getting There: Base Village: Pedhambe Dhangarwadi (Ambadiwadi). Ascend Time: 10 mins from base. How to Reach Pedhambe: * Diversion is 10 km from Chiplun on Chiplun-Karad road.Routes to Dhangarwadi (Base Village):1. From Khadpoli: * Cross the bridge after the Pedhambe diversion. * Khadpoli village is on the left. * Follow the path right of Sukai Devi temple (few kms away). 2. From Ugvatwadi (in Pedhambe): * Ascend from Ugvatwadi to Dhangarwadi. * Ascent Time: \~2 hours.
