How to Reach
Achala Fort Access Located near Bilwadi village (30km from Vani / 26km S of Saputara, Gujarat). \*Note: Google Maps lists it as "Anchala" or Wikimapia as "Achalaa." **Two Base Villages:**1. **Bilwadi:** (Base for Ahivant fort, east side of ridge) 2. **Pimpriwadi/Dagad Pimpri:** (Base for Achala fort, west side of ridge)**The Hike:** * A trail connects Bilwadi and Pimpriwadi via a central ridge (also connects Achala & Ahivant forts). * From either village, hike 1 hr to reach a small temple on the ridge. * From the temple, follow the ridge right to rock-cut steps. * 1.5 hrs from temple to the fort top.
Important Notes
Combine the Achala-Ahivant trek! For an epic range trek, include Saptashringi, Markandya, Rawlya-Jawlya, and Dhodap.
