Places to See

Start at Sada village, the fort's base. Must-see: Hadpi's Well (Key-shaped, 2 parts, 18 stairs to the first stage, 3-high corner arch). Circumnavigate the well, then descend through an arched door to the water. Next, visit Vitthal Temple (can be used for overnight stay). Stairs beside the temple lead to a ruined mansion, home to Goddess Pavnai, plus other ruins. Spot the flat open ground where locals celebrate Holi. Approach the first fortified wall. Enter and proceed right, noting internal fortified walls and bastions up high. Look for a ruined built-in path that once led to a well outside the wall. Begin your ascent. See the fort entrance stones. The main entrance is Gomukhi architectural style, with gatekeeper porches on both sides. A watch tower window on the right fortified wall offers views of Malgoli village and Tilari dam. A door opposite the window leads to the fort top. Take the left path to a bastion where a canon is kept. The entire fort is small and can be explored in just 30 minutes!
