Bhorgiri Fort Highlights: * **Caves & Base:** Two visible caves near Bhorgiri village. Cross a small stream (5 min walk) to the base, then follow stone steps. * **First Cave:** Reach in 5 mins from the base. Features 4 support pillars, 2 water tanks (with a Shiv ling and Nandi sculpture near one). * **Second Cave:** Larger, also has 4 support pillars, and 2 Shiv ling and Nandi sculptures. * **Summit Trek:** Follow the route opposite the caves (hill left, valley right) to reach fortification remnants and the summit. * **Summit Tank:** Find a Satvahana era water tank (2 parts wet, 1 dry, holding a Veerghal). * **Circumnavigation Finds:** Ruined water tank with a carved Shivling; joint water tanks; a ruined, vermillion-painted stone sculpture. * **Dense Vegetation:** Discover Shivlingas and a devastated Veerbhadra sculpture. * **Exit Route:** Path descends to stone steps and a cave (right). Look for remnants of an entrance doorway (left) nearby. This route leads to the Bhimashankar region.

Get to Bhorgiri! From Mumbai/Pune: Drive/Take bus via Talegaon -> Chakan -> Rajgurunagar -> Chaas -> Wada -> Dehane -> Shirgaon -> Bhorgiri. * Rajgurunagar to Bhorgiri is 55 kms. * Buses/private vehicles available from Rajgurunagar to Wada. * Hire special jeeps from Rajgurunagar or Wada directly to Bhorgiri.Bus options (via Rajgurunagar, 15 min halt at Bhorgiri): * Borivli -\> Bhorgiri (Arrives 10 am) * Kalyan -\> Bhorgiri (Arrives 2 pm)Trek Option: * Mumbai/Pune -\> Bhimashankar by bus, then a 3-hour trek (8 kms) to Bhorgiri.Shirgaon Diversion: Route towards Bhimashankar available from Shirgaon.
