Ambolgad & Yashwantgad: Twin forts in Ratnagiri District's Rajapur Taluka. Ambolgad was built to watch the ancient Musakaji port and sea. Captured by Col. Imlock for the British in 1818. Residential area cleared by 1862.

Ambolgad Fort: Elevated above sea level, this 1200 Sq. Meter fort is guarded by the sea (South) and deep moats (North/West). Condition is poor, but some sea-side walls/fortifications, a square well, and plinths remain visible. Nearby: Math of Gagangiri Maharaj.
