Fascinating Spots Highlights: * **Scenery & Cisterns:** Few structures remain, but enjoy great views and ancient water cisterns. * **The Cave of Bahiri:** Thrilling trek through dense vegetation to a sacred cave on the other side of the fort. Lord Bahiri resides here. Look for cooking vessels in the water (clean and return them—legend warns against stealing\!). * **Sahyadri Peaks:** From the caves, gaze upon the terrifying beauty of the Sahyadri peaks and the twin forts of Rajmachi, Shrivardhan, and Manranjan. * **Kalakrai Pinnacle:** Famous spot for mountaineers. Access requires a rope and rock climbing gear via the left path from the ridge. * **Campfire Spot:** Enjoy an exciting overnight campfire and clear sky observation in the less vegetated forest outskirts below.

How to Reach
**Ways to Reach Dhak Fort** **1. Via Wadhap Village** * **Start:** Take an S.T. bus from Karjat to Wadhap. * **Route:** Cross a rivulet, then follow the straight path to the fort's temple. * **Ascent:** Look for the way left of the temple; it leads to the ridge between the fort and the pinnacle.**2. Via Sandshi Village (Guide Recommended\!)** * **Start:** Take an early morning S.T. bus from Karjat to Sandshi (best to avoid midday sun). * **Note:** A guide is needed due to dense, confusing vegetation. * **Trek Time:** About 2 hours to reach the ridge (pinnacle on left, Dhak mountain on right). * **Ascent:** Ridge path leads to Bahiri cave. Climb safely using rock-hewn steps and the rope bound to a bamboo. The fort is situated above the cave on the mountain wall.**3. Via Rajmachi (3-4 hours)** * **Start:** From Lonavala, head toward Rajmachi. * **Landmarks:** Pass three prominent waterfalls and cross the stream. * **Diversion:** At the distinct diversion, take the right path (Left goes to Rajmachi). * **Note:** This route reaches Dhak via Wadhap.
