Kondhavi Fort: Near Poladpur. Located in Kondhavi village (Talyachi wadi). Trail Info: Head right after entering the village (10 min walk) to reach a Lord Bhairav temple. Inside: 4 rock-carved idols & a Shivling. To the Top: Keep the temple left, follow the diversion, and take the left route for a 15-minute ascent. Fort Top Highlights: * Ancient Lord Bhairav Temple. This deity is known as "Aathgaon Bhairavnath" (God of eight villages) as it is worshipped by 8 villages: Kondhavi/Talyachiwadi, Fanaskond, Gaanjan, Khadapi, Dhamandevi, Kaatli, Khadakavne, and Goldara. * Brick structure next to the Bhairav temple with Saint Navnath idols. * Sculptured stone (3 X 1.5 in size) behind the structure. * Find a Lord Hanuman idol by briefly backtracking on the main path. * Further ahead: remnants of two old structures (likely mansions).

How to Reach
Getting There: Reach Poladpur (Mumbai-Goa highway). Drive 7 km to the Kondhavi/Aadeshpur junction, then 3 km to Kondhavi village. Six-seater auto rickshaws are available from Poladpur. The trek from the village up the mountain takes only 30 minutes to reach the fort top.
