About Arjungad
Arjungad Fort: Named after Arjun (Mahabharat), who folklore says kidnapped Subhadra here. Built later by Chimaji Appa. Was controlled by the Portuguese. Visit the Mahalaxmi Temple right in the center (steps provided). A frequently visited historical site.

Visit: July–March
Places to See
Walk 10 mins (via bastion) to the East-facing fort entrance. The doorway, fortified walls, and 6 bastions are well-preserved. Find the temple, a large water tank, and gatekeeper porches inside. See the Kolak river to the south. The entire trail is small and takes only ~10 minutes.

How to Reach
**By Rail:** Take a passenger train to Bagwada station (on the Vapi–Surat route). Arjungad is 2 km from the station; take an auto-rickshaw to the base. **By Road:** The fort is 6 km from Vapi, right off the Mumbai–Ahmedabad highway.
