About Ballalryandurga Fort
Tucked away in the incredibly scenic Charmadi Ghats, Ballalarayana Durga offers a quintessential Western Ghats experience. The trail moves through a dense, leech-prone Shola forest before suddenly opening up into massive, rolling alpine grasslands. The fort itself is mostly in ruins, but its strategic location on a prominent ridge provides a spectacular 360-degree panorama of the surrounding deep valleys.
