Places to See
Explore the Citadel (Dyke) Base: No remains on the summit. Near the citadel base, find a water tank. Look right for a crescent-shaped cave—requires technical climbing! Eastern Edge: Spot another crescent cave 50 ft high—also needs technical climbing. Bhairavgad Cleft: Circumvent the citadel to find the cleft between Bhairavgad and the adjoining hill. See rock-cut steps here. Crawl Cave: Climb 50 steps to a 4x2x8 ft rock-cut cave, requiring crawling to enter. It's closed on four sides, with a crescent-cut top (5 ft high). Note the holes for wooden shelter rods on one wall. Upper Ascent: Steps are devastated. Prepare for a 150 ft rock patch climb using ropes, leading to more rock-cut steps (steep valley on one side). Pass two dried-up water tanks. Fort's Peak: Follow the path through shrubs/cactus to the East-West peak. Amazing views of the Naneghat to Harishchandragad region!
