Bitangad Fort: Located on the Nashik/Ahmednagar border, slightly off the Ghoti–Bhandardara road. It's part of the Kalsubai range. Nearby forts: Aundha, Patta, Aad, and Mhasoba. To the SW: Kalsubai, Alang, Madan, and Kulang.

Watch Tower Only. Few remnants remain due to scarce area. Great for hiking! Scenic views from the top, perfect for an overnight stay.

How to Reach

**Getting to the Fort (Bitangwadi Village):**1. **Start:** Ghoti town (on NH3, \~30 km east of Igatpuri on the Mumbai–Nashik route). 2. **Route:** From Ghoti toll, proceed towards Bhandardara. 3. **Diversion 1:** At \~19 km, turn at Taked Phata. 4. **Diversion 2:** From Taked, drive \~11 km to the Ekdara village diversion, then take the road to Bitangwadi (6 km away). 5. **Trek:** The trail from Bitangwadi has steep, rock-cut steps. A rope might be helpful\! 6. **Safety Alert:** Avoid trekking during monsoon as steps become slippery.

Important Notes

Plan a 2-4 day trek! Visit Aundha, Patta, & Bitangad forts. A private vehicle is recommended.
