Explore Avchitgad Fort Highlights: * **Main Entrance & Bastion:** Main entrance is well-preserved. A crucial bastion (on the way from Medhe) offered an excellent watch point. * **Key Spots:** Find remnants of old structures on a neighboring hillock, a lake with potable water, and a statue of Lord Khandoba near the second entrance. * **Fort Size:** Long and narrow. Allow \~2 hours for a full tour. * **Monsoon Trek:** Best during monsoon season. * **Wildlife:** The dense surrounding forest is home to wild hogs, leopards, foxes, monkeys, etc. * **Views:** From the top, catch a glimpse of Telbaila, Sudhagad, Sarasgad, Dhangad, Raigad, Korigad, and Savashna Ghat.

How to Reach
Choose your route! Via Pengalsai: Base Village (5 km from Roha). 1-hour trek to the top. Via Medha: Village is 7.5 km before Roha (on Mumbai-Roha highway). Start near Lord Vitthal temple. Ascend through thick woods to the front bastion (1 hour). Via Padam: Start past the old factory. 2-hour trek to the southern entrance.
