Places to See

Explore the Fort's Fascinating Spots! * **Entrances:** Two total—one coastal, one facing the sea (main entrance, currently blocked with stones). * **Doorway Details:** The main entrance frame features a tiger sculpture. Look left for a carving of the mythological, two-headed "Gandabherunda" bird (Berunda) gripping four elephants\! A rare sculpture nearby depicts three dogs in a chain, each holding two elephants. * **Ramparts & Sights:** Find Lord Hanuman on the ramparts near the door. Climb the stairs to walk the ramparts. Don't miss the water collection tank or the remnants of the Collector’s rest house. * **Citadel:** Located on the southern side, built on a natural elevation. * **History Nugget:** Records show 19 soldiers and 69 canons were here in 1862.
