Places to See

Start at Pahadeshwar Temple (Ajmera Saundane village). Fill water here, then take the unpaved path. 10 min walk: Find "Mauli" stone (trident-shaped, vermillion) right, "Mhasoba" stone left. Behind them are cave hills with a tribal local deity. Follow the unpaved path through dense vegetation (fort on left, cave hill on right). 10 more min to the ascend cleft. 45 min trail up to the devastated fort entrance. See bastion and fortified wall remnants right. Opposite the entrance is the large summit. A flag is mounted high on the back side. Towards the flag: remnants of structures, dried-up pond (left). Further right: a ruined Shiva temple. Beyond that: another pond, two non-potable water tanks (left). Reach the top flag area for views of Karha and Bishtha fort. Explore time: About 300 minutes (5 hours).
