Sahyadri North-South Range starts at Baalgan Baaglana (Nashik). North section: Selbari/Dolbari Range. Selbari hosts Mangi-Tungi Pinnacles & Nhavigad. Dolbari features Salher, Mulher, Moragad, Hargad, & Salota forts. These forts sit on the border of Daang region (West Gujarat) and Baaglana region (Maharashtra).

Ascending Salota: Key Highlights * **Entrances:** Pass through 3 well-preserved entrances. * **Water Tanks:** Find 2 tanks at the first entrance (right) and 1 more at the last entrance (right). * **Summit:** Reach the top via a final entrance. * **Remnants:** Note there are no structures remaining at the summit. * **View:** Enjoy a spectacular view of Salher from the top\!

How to Reach

**3 Ways to Reach the Fort**1. **Waghambe Route (2.5 hrs)** * **Access:** From Mumbai/Pune, reach Tahrabad via Nashik-Satana. From Gujarat, road is via Daang district to Tahrabad. * **Local Transit:** Buses/Jeeps from Tahrabad to Waghambe village (via Mulher). * **Trail:** Head towards the cleft between Salher-Salota. No water available. Trail is tiring. 2. **Maaldar Route (3 hrs)** * **Access:** Rarely used. Take a bus from Satana to Maaldar village. * **Trail:** Passes through the cleft between Salher and Salota. 3. **Salherwadi Route (3 hrs)** * **Access:** Reach via Satana - Tahrabad and Mulher (village is next to Waghambe). * **Trail:** Very tiring. No water available. Must cross 6 entrances. Proper path reduces chances of getting lost.
