Akluj Fort: Historic Gem on the Nira River! Inside, explore 'Shivsrushti,' a creation by architects Dinakarrao & Avinash Thopte, guided by ShivShahir Babasaheb Purandare. Thanks to the Mohit Patil family's efforts, the fort and Shivsrushti are beautifully restored.

**Fort Highlights: Must-See Spots\!** Buy a ticket and be welcomed by synthetic fiber statues of Elephants and Horse-mounted soldiers. Don't miss the statues of musical instruments! **Fort Wall Murals:** Walk left along the fort wall to see detailed murals depicting the life of **Shivaji Maharaj**. Highlights include: * Murals on Shivaji Maharaj's birth. * Replica of the birthplace mansion on **Shivneri fort**. * Depictions of the naming and crowning ceremonies.**Upalya Bastion:** Located centrally, this bastion features a statue of **Shivaji Maharaj**. It was likely used for monitoring, offering great views of the surrounding area. **Maratha Soldier Murals:** Look for murals along the wall of Maratha soldiers from various sects/religions, including **Tofchi, Mashaalji, Tirandaaj, Paharekari, and Ramoshi**. **Museum:** Proceed towards the entrance for the museum, which features an elephant and rider statue, plus synthetic fiber models of famous forts: **Rajgad, Raigad, Vijaydurg, Sidhudurg, Pratapgad, and Devgiri**. **Outside the Fort:** Enjoy the well-maintained grounds, greenery, flowers, and fountains. Outside, along the river bank/bastion path, you'll find **Veerghals** and other ancient remains.

Reach Akluj (Solapur District) Well-connected by road. * From Pune: 166 kms. * Diversion at Indapur (on Pune–Solapur highway). * From Solapur: 35 kms (on Solapur–Pandharpur highway).
Important Notes
Get your tickets: Rs.20 (Adults), Rs.15 (Children <12 yrs). Visit hours: 10 am–1:30 pm & 2:30 pm–6:30 pm. Don't miss the evening Light & Sound Show (min. 25 audience required).
