About Kabini / Nagarhole Wildlife Safari
Kabini is often called the "Leopard Capital of India." It offers a rare choice between a Jeep Safari through dense teak and sandalwood forests and a Boat Safari on the expansive backwaters. The boat safari is a unique adventure, offering close-up views of the world's largest gathering of Asiatic elephants during summer, alongside crocodiles and predatory birds.

History & Significance
Formerly the exclusive hunting grounds of the Maharaja of Mysore and British Viceroys, it was established as a National Park in 1955 and later integrated into the Tiger Reserve network. It remains a crucial corridor for the Asiatic elephant population.
