About Kamet Peak
Kamet Peak is the second-highest mountain in India and one of the most prominent peaks of the Garhwal Himalayas. It is known for its massive bulk, glaciated slopes, and demanding climbing routes, making it a coveted objective for elite mountaineers.

History & Significance
Kamet was first successfully climbed in 1931 by a British expedition led by Frank Smythe, Eric Shipton, R.L. Holdsworth, and Lewa Sherpa. It was the highest peak climbed in the world at that time.
