As you take off from the high cliffs, the noise of the crowds fades, and you silently float over sprawling vineyards, agricultural plains, and the dramatic drop-offs of the surrounding hillocks.

Nandi Hills itself holds immense history, serving as a summer retreat and fortress for Tipu Sultan. Over the last decade, it has evolved into Karnataka's premier aero-sports hub, with clubs like the Bangalore Aerosports and Xtacee Paragliding Club pioneering tandem and solo flights here.

Tipu's Drop, Tipu Sultan's Summer Residence, Bhoga Nandishwara Temple (at the base), and the spectacular sunrise from the cliff edges before your flight.

How to Reach

By Road: Drive from Bengaluru via the Bellary Road (NH44) towards the airport, take the deviation at Devanahalli, and head straight up the winding Nandi Hills road. The launch zones are at the summit near the main parking area.

Important Notes

Wear comfortable, wind-resistant clothing and tightly laced sports shoes; avoid loose items, skirts, or sandals that can fly off. Cameras: Most operators offer GoPro footage of your flight for an additional fee, so you don't need to risk dropping your phone.   • Stay Plentiful options. Visitors usually drive up from Bengaluru early in the morning, though resorts and hotels are available at the base of the hill and in Chikkaballapura town.
  • FoodThe Nandi Hills summit has government-run restaurants and several private food stalls selling breakfast, tea, and snacks. It is recommended to eat light before taking flight to avoid motion sickness.
