About Padmagad (Malvan)
Shivaji Maharaj built Padmagad, Rajkot, and Sarjekot to defend Sindhudurga. Padmagad stands on a rock between Malvan sea shore and Sindhudurga, protecting the route. This rock was carved into a dock for ship construction/repair. Access: Before the Tsunami, you could walk to Padmagad at low tide!
