Places to See

**Plus Valley Trek: Tamhini Ghat Descent** Start at Tamhini Ghat (Pune district) viewpoint platform, a beloved tourist spot. The valley below intersects like a '+' sign, giving it the name Plus Valley. **The Trek:** * **Descent:** Approx. 30 min descent over loose soil and big rocks (resembling Sandhan Valley). Keep the rock wall on your right. * **Water:** Reach a wooded area, then turn right for a small pond with potable water. * **Technical Section 1:** From the pond, take a left to an edge. This 100 ft rock patch requires rappelling with proper safety gear (includes a final 20 ft overhang). Lands you in a water stream area. * **Devkund Approach:** After a snack break and another rappelling patch, look down to see the famous Devkund pond. * **Technical Section 2 (Devkund Rappel):** Rappel 125-150 ft to reach Devkund. Only the initial 50 ft is firm rock base; the rest is pure rope technique. * **Stay:** Overnight stays possible near Devkund pond (except rainy season) and Saptakund area (alongside the water flow).**Exit:** Follow the water flow past Saptakund. This route, near Bhira dam, takes you to Bhira village (Raigad district) in approx. 1 hr 30 mins. Ghanagad Kundalika valley is on the right. **Note:** Trek from Bhira village to Devkund is easy and doable until summer, no local guide required.
