Songad

Start your journey at Jilha Parishad School in Sonewadi (roadside). Take the cement road to Sonewadi. **Trek to Songad Base:** * 5 min walk: Reach a raw road. * Cross the road to the hill base (houses/steps). * 5 min climb: Reach the hilltop and a large plateau.**Route to Forts:** * Parvatgad is on the right; Songad is on the left. * Route goes through the pass between the two forts. * 15 min walk: Arrive at the pass.**Ascending Songad (West/East Side):** * Take the left path (dense forest). * 15 min ascent: Reach the east side of Songad. * Climb rock-carved steps to the base of the hat-shaped Songad.**Exploring the Fort:** * Climb steps on the hat-shaped fort. * **Landmarks on Ascent:** * Left side: Cactus trees, Water Tank (Khamb Taak). * Right side: Stones of Samadhi. * Remains of *Tatbandi* (white-painted rock below) on the left. * Enter through a destroyed entrance gate. * Ascend steps to the top.**On the Fort:** * Khandoba Temple (painted white). * Water tank behind the temple.**West End Viewpoint:** * Spot Parvatgad, Aad Fort, and Bhatghar Dharan on the left.**Timing:** * Sonewadi to Songad: 1 hour. * Explore Songad (small perimeter): 30 min.
