History & Significance
Key moments: Built by Bahadurkhan Suri (1596). Scene of the Nanasheb Peshwe vs. Gayakwads battle at Bahadarpur on the Bori River (1751). Captured by the British from the Peshwa in 1818.

Explore: Two huge bastions and ramparts flank the Bori River. One bastion is 40' tall; ramparts are 20' high from the river basin. Find a tomb near the second bastion. A stone Inscription in Persian & Arabic is housed by the Grampanchayat. Note: The village-side fort section is destroyed due to encroachment.
