About Hatkeshwar to Lenyadri
Sahyadri Range Trek: Hatkeshwar to Lenyadri. Connects two holy sites! Note: No forts en route, but see natural caves, needle holes, and man-made caves at Lenyadri. Look for flowers after the rainy season. Base village is Godre. Trek Times: Godre to Hatkeshwar (3 hrs) + exploring Hatkeshwar (2 hrs) + Hatkeshwar to Lenyadri (4 hrs). Total trek time: 8-9 hours.

Avoid March-May. Visit anytime else!

Fascinating Spots Near the Fort1. Hatkeshwar Temple Simple spot with a Shiv Linga, stream (water is drinkable), and Nandi idols. Mentioned in ancient texts. Views include: Harishchandragad, Sindola forts, Pimpalgaon Dam (N); Hadsar, Nimgiri-hanumantgad forts, Manikdoh dam (W); Shivneri, Narayangad forts (S). 2. Naturally Formed Caves Two caves west of the temple. Requires descending. Cave 1: Accommodates 5-7 people; contains a recent Lord Ganesh idol. Cave 2: Very narrow, extends 15-20 meters inside. 3. Naturally Formed Bridge / Needle Hole A miracle 4200 ft above sea level, short distance from the temple. Narrow approach path; requires a rope to descend. Accommodates 5-7 people. 4. Lenyadri Holy shrine of Lord Ganesha and 30 man-made caves. Caves 6 & 14: Used for last rites rituals. Others: Monks' dwellings. Features multiple water sources and scriptures near two caves. Visit time: \~3 hours.

How to Reach:1. Via Godre: Take the Mumbai–Kalyan–Malshej route to Junnar junction. Divert to Godre village (10 km). Kalyan to Godre is approx. 120 km. 2. Via Kolwadi: Near Junnar junction/Pimpalgaon Dam on the Mumbai–Kalyan–Malshej route (114 km from Kalyan). Follow the path from Kolewadi village toward Hatkeshwar. Note: This path is steep and tiring\!Distance: Hatkeshwar to Lenyadri is 25 km via both routes.
