Circuit house is halfway up, accessible via paved road. You can see the fort when you alight. Reach the fortified red stone wall in 5 min. Follow the wall left, past 3 bastions, to find the Gomukhi-style fort entrance, flanked by 2 strong bastions. Inside, get a bird's-eye view of the area. No structures remain; its purpose was watch-keeping. The Flag Mast Bastion is on the west side, with a path descending to Honnur village (a former doorway is estimated to have been here). Explore the entire fort in just 15 minutes!

Fort Access Directions:1. On Mumbai-Banglore highway, travel from Belgaum towards Mumbai. 2. Take the diversion for Hidkal dam. 3. 12 km from this junction, turn right at the Vithal Bhavan Circuit House junction. Alight here for the fort.
