Places to See
Explore the Fort Top! Enter through the well-preserved main door. Head right to find the cave—it’s the only route up! At the top, you'll find a small pond and ruins of old mansions (southern side). Don’t miss the bastion and cistern (western end). Quick visit? Half an hour is enough to wander. Nearby Sights: Kalsubai, Trimbak, and Tringalwadi ranges are visible from the top.

Reach the fort-top in about 1 hour from base village, Kavnai.
How to Reach
Getting to Kavnai Fort: From Igatpuri or Ghoti, take a bus towards Upper Vaitarna and get off at Waki junction. Turn right for the base village, Kavnai (approx. 1-hour walk). The fort is to the right of the village on a hill snout. Walk for 30 minutes over the snout, then turn right to a cleft. Simple rock-climbing leads to the main doorway. Base village to doorway takes about 1 hour.
